Canadian Association for Healthcare Reimbursement Annual General Meeting & Speaker Session:
The CAHR AGM & Speaker Program is scheduled for Thursday November 26 in Toronto.
The topic of the speaker session is: "The Politics of Reimbursement".
Guest speakers, including: John Downton, Tom Blackwell (Senior National Reporter, National Post), Penny Marrett (President & CEO/Canadian Health Food Association), Christopher Ward (Deputy Vice President, International Alliance Development, PHRMA) and George Wyatt (Wyatt Health Management) will specifically discuss:
- Canada versus other countries
- Ministerial responsibility / accountability o Priorities and budgeting o How the involvement of elected representatives has changed (old versus
new)
- How advocacy has changed to keep up with political / policy changes).
